No Limits is an organization based out of Indiana that is committed to helping teenagers with diabetes make the journey to independence with their diabetes management. No Limits also strives to develop the mindset that even though diabetes is a part of you, diabetes does not control who you are or who you can become. Along with weekend activities through out the year, we hold a summer camp each summer for diabetic teenagers between 13 and 18. Happy Hollow Children's Camp in Nashville, IN currently hosts our summer program.
2018 will be our fifth summer at Happy Hollow Children's Camp! The camp has several activities designed to challenge the campers, as well as teach them teamwork and trust. Activities include horseback riding, high ropes, a team challenge course, archery, creek hiking, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and a field activities day. The past few years we have also traveled to eXplore Brown County for paintball and zip lining. The cabins at Happy Hollow sit at the top of the hill, as well as the dining hall and restroom facilities.
Our West Virginia Adventure Group
In September 2015, a group of campers and staff participated in a trip to West Virginia. The trip was less than a week long, but the days were full of exciting activities and adventures. We traveled in two large vans from Indiana to West Virginia, which was a lot more fun than it sounds. The destination was Adventures on the Gorge, in Lansing, West Virginia. The main activities of the trip were a day of white-water rafting, including some Class V rapids, and a day of flying through the air along the gravity zip lines, the longest of which was 3150 feet long, and allowed for speeds of over 60 mph.
